Moving to Switzerland, Downtime

HT-Weird_ed | 26.11.08

Sunday morning we will move our servers from Amsterdam to the Hattrick datacenter in Zürich. This will make it easier for us to share data, and integrate the sites.

As a consequence, the site will be down from sunday morning until tuesday evening.

Midweek matches, round 3 and 6

HT-Weird_ed | 24.11.08

Unfortunately, the import of friendles and cup matches for round 3 and 6 failed, and are missing from the database. It was due to two unrelated problems, but it was allowed to happen because the monitoring of midweek imports are somewhat lacking compared to what we have in place for our regular imports.

The player data for these matches won’t be imported, as the data will be wrong if imported now, but the matches will be imported at the end of the season. I will improve the monitoring for these imports to avoid the problem in the future.

Maptrick returns!

HT-Weird_ed | 16.10.08

After Maptrick had to close due to server problems, it was announced that Alltid would offer its services. Unfortunately this never happened. Luckily we have people like DerKanzler in our community, and he has taken it upon himself to bring Maptrick back to life. So far the Coolness ranking is up, and additional functions will be added soon.

Check it out at the new address: maptrick.ath.cx.

Alltid World Cup: We Have a Winner!

RebelClown | 4.10.08

Let’s start with the superfinal of last season’s Alltid Visitor’s Cup. In the left corner, League A winner DnB Warriors from the IVth division in the Czech Republic. In the right corner, League B winner Grex Talionis from Vth division in Finland. Ding!

Warriors came out swinging and scored in the first minute, to be followed by a second goal half an hour later. Add to that a failed indirect free kick and you have a very one sided first half. The second half was a little bit better in that regard, with Grex Talionis finding the net once, but their opponents two goals mean that it was never in any doubt who would claim the ultimate season 4 title. Congratulations Radka!

Whereas Radka can call herself the best of 2048 teams now, she will be outdone by this season’s Alltid World Cup final winner, who will be the best of an uncredible 4096 clubs! Would it be Tori United, Norwegian team from diviosion IV and second in this season’s cup rankings, or Tomsa Teatanic, Slovenian IInd diviosion that had dominated the cup ratings so far? The final started very spectacular. Tori United took the lead after only 3 minutes, but couldn’t enjoy it very long, as 6 minutes later Tomsa Teatonic had equalised after a deflected shot. To add insult to injury, the Norwegians lost a man to a red card after frustrations about that goal led to a punch up. With 10 men they stood no chance against the best team in the cup, who clinically finished them off for a 4-1 win in the final. Congratulations Tomsek, a historic win, you can now call yourself the winner of the largest friendly cup in hattrick history! Still, what if that red card hadn’t been given …
